Cast an absentee ballot next week

Our town elections are next Tuesday, May 2! If you can’t get to the polls (St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter St) between 7 am – 8pm, you can vote absentee instead. Here’s how in 4 easy steps:

  1. Stop by Town Hall at 235 North St. during open hours (8-4 Mon-Thurs, 8-1 Fri), anytime before noon next Monday, May 1st – the sooner, the better!
  2. While at Town Hall, complete an absentee application (or print & fill it out ahead of time here: http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/elepdf/absentee_ballot.pdf)
  3. You may be able to vote right at Town Hall at that time, or have a ballot mailed to you.
  4. If you have the ballot mailed to you, after filling it out you can either mail it to Town Hall or bring it to Town Hall in person. Given that we’re a week away from the election, and the ballot must reach Town Hall by Tuesday May 2, it’s advisable to drop off the ballot in person, to the Town Clerk’s office, during the open hours of Town Hall. In that case, make sure to sign the outer envelope of the ballot in front of the Town Clerk.
